Accepts donated school supplies from August 1 through August 31 which will be distributed to children in under served school districts and to United Way community partner agencies to assist their clients. Preferred items include backpacks, lunch boxes, notebooks, pocket folders, pens, pencils, washable markers, crayons, glue/glue sticks, scissors, rulers and hand wipes. Donations may be dropped off at the United Way of Long Island's office at 819 Grand Blvd., Deer Park, from 9am-5pm. This is a donation program only. Volunteers needed to help sort and distribute supplies.
