The coalition includes many sectors of the community such the police department, Mt. Vernon City Schools, social services, parents, government, and the faith-based community. M.V.C.T.C provides substance abuse prevention activities, which include, but are not limited to youth development activities; youth and parent surveys; assessment of alcohol and drug outlets; coalition building; neighborhood services, and community referrals
