THEATER ARTS COMPANY AT THE SUFFOLK Y JCC (TACSY) | SUFFOLK Y - JCC

Program offers preschool age children through young adult the opportunity to be involved in all aspect of theater from fully produced musicals to classess and workshops. TACSY is safe and nuturing atmosphere that not only provides quality theatre training but also demonstrates commitment, responsiblility, communication & teamwork contributing to the development of their self-esteem. Programs include Little Cabaret Kids for preschool, Caberet Kids open to K-5th grade, the Jr. Company for grades1-6, the Sr. Company for grades 7-12 and The Emerging Artist Development (EAD) program offering grant money to college age and older that are pursuing a career in performing arts. TACSY also offers private vocal, performance and audition coaching with industry professionals. Its mission is to guide and support young artists with the creation of their work, assisting director, actors, dancers, singers, musicians, stage managers, producers and other artists in fulfilling their ambitions, providing opportunities for the public presentation of their arts and talents. To be considered for the EAD award a proposal must be submitted.
