ELMCREST CHILDREN'S CENTER

Elmcrest Children's Center is a multi-service treatment and education center for children with emotional, behavioral and psychiatric disturbances and children with developmental disabilities and serious medical conditions. The Family Support Program (FSP) serves children in Cortland County 's foster care system. They reside in foster homes and frequently visit with their families in Elmcrest's Cortland office or at other places in the community. The program decreases the amount of time needed to safely return children home and prevent their return to foster care.Other programs include: residential programs for: children who have experienced trauma or have disabilities that prevent their success at home children entering and moving through Onondaga County 's foster care system community-based programs, such as: early education with day care for infants through preschool, special education preschool and Syracuse City School District universal pre-Kindergarten services for children with medical and developmental disabilities and their families
