Description

Home visiting nursing program that provides prenatal and postnatal supportive services. MOMS is designed to improve equitable access to quality maternal child health care, increase lactation support for parents choosing to breast feed, and enhance the coordination of care with other community resources. Program services include: Health Screening & Monitoring, Pregnancy Education, Nutrition Screening & Monitoring, Infant Care Education, Lactation Counseling, Postpartum Mental Health Education, Childbirth and Family Planning, Early Childhood Development, Community Resource Referrals, and help with WIC program enrollment (if appropriate) and making an appointment with a participating OBGYN. Staff RN is also a Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) who can answer questions about yourself and your newborn in regard to breast/chest feeding.
