HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION PROGRAM (HPP) | SEARCH FOR CHANGE
Homelessness Prevention Program (HPP) to aid eligible individuals with case management and financial assistance. Services provided by the HPP include, but are not limited to: - Case management services designed to aid participants in accessing an array of community resources that would avert homelessness (e.g., submission of applications for financial assistance to the Local Department of Social Services (LDSS), acquisition of legal services to prevent eviction, etc.) - Financial assistance in managing certain expenses necessary to maintain a household (e.g., utility arrears), subject to available program resources and other factors - Financial assistance in managing or settling rental arrears, subject to available program resources and other factors - Financial assistance in managing certain costs related to relocation (e.g., movers’ fees, etc.), subject to available program resources and other factors
