Enables adults whose physical disabilities prevent them from working, to meet with their peers during the day. Strives to lessen the feelings of isolation and loneliness and increase social interaction. Group meets once a week at Temple Am Echad in Lynbrook.

NEW HORIZON COUNSELING CENTER (NHCC)

Provides individual, group and family psychotherapy for adults, teens, and children ages 5 and up. Special programs include: Chemical Dependence Services, Day Program for Adults with Mental Illness/Drop-in, Pre-vocational, Day Program for Older Adults with Alzheimers, Dementia and physical frailties, Friends Program for Children with Special Needs, Social Support Program for Adults with physical challenges. and services for families and individuals impacted with developmental disabilities. Licensed by The New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (NYS OASAS).
