Provides career services to dislocated workers and economically disadvantaged Town of Hempstead residents facing barriers to employment. Services include: testing, computerized assessment (including self-assessment), workshops, personal development seminars concerning job search techniques, resume preparation and the modern workplace, career counseling, basic education programs including basic skills re-dedication, ESL and GED preparation, institutional skills training and college certificate programs, skills development seminars for Introduction to Computers, Keyboarding, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Offers job development, job research assistance, and use of the Resource Room as well as work experience for economically disadvantaged youth. Call for more information.
