Created under Article 22 of the New York State Executive Law to compensate innocent victims of crime for unreimbursed out of pocket expenses, including medical and counseling expenses, funeral expenses, loss of earnings or support, the cost to repair or replace items of essential personal property, reasonable court/medical transportation expenses, occupational/vocational rehabilitation, and the cost of residing at or utilizing the services of a domestic violence shelter. Claim forms may be down loaded from web site. Funds a network of community based programs, and advocates for the rights and benefits of all innocent victims of crime. Offices are also in Brooklyn, New York and Buffalo, New York Application form can be downloaded from the website.
