Eligibility
In order to qualify for a grant, applicants must fall into at least ONE of the following classifications:
- Be at least 55 years old
- Have a household member who is handicapped or has a disability that reduces the household's income
- Have a certified medical emergency
- Be a US Military Veteran
- Be a recipient of unemployment benefits

Call to schedule interview. At time of interview, clients must provide proof of identification, monthly income, and monthly expenses.

Erie County, NY
Provides a one time grant on a first come, first served basis beginning October 1st of each year until funds are exhausted. The maximum grant is $300. Grant can be used to:
- Prevent disconnection of service
- Pay current or past-due energy bills (excluding electric)
- Purchase home heating fuel of any kind
