Provides support, resources, education and awareness on the topic of animal loss and bereavement. Assists family members in understanding the mourning and feelings of grief over the loss of a pet through support groups, chatrooms, lectures and workshops. Also includes a support group for anyone mourning the death, illness or separation of an animal companion. Meetings held on the last Monday of the month at Long Island Veterinary Specialist Center, 163 South Service Road, Plainview, New York at 8pm and Bideawee, 3300 Beltagh Ave, Wantagh, from 10am-Noon on alternate Saturdays.
