In order to qualify for a grant, applicants must fall into at least ONE of the following classifications: - Be at least 55 years old - Have a household member who is handicapped or has a disability that reduces the household's income - Have a certified medical emergency - Be a US Military Veteran - Be a recipient of unemployment benefits Applicant must also reside in National Fuel's service territory; however, there is no need to be a National Fuel customer. Whenever HEAP is open, potential applicants must have applied for energy/fuel assistance through HEAP first. Service Area: WNY.
