Provides trauma informed counseling, drama therapy, and art therapy for children age 3 to 12. Services are available to children who have witnessed domestic violence and who have been sexually assaulted or raped. Goal is to stabilize the child during and after the crisis. Counseling for children is short-term, usually four to six months. Provides referrals to have child evaluated for legal or custody disputes where there are allegations of abuse.

VICTIMS INFORMATION BUREAU OF SUFFOLK - VIBES
Known as VIBS. Provides therapeutic counseling, court advocacy and legal representation to victims of domestic/date violence, rape, sexual assault, incest, elder abuse and human trafficking in Suffolk County. Provides assistance to victims and family members who are entitled to compensation through the New York State Office of Victim Services. Referral and application process support. Provides community education regarding these issues. Agency brochures and literature available. Will train volunteers.
