LI Cares hosts Military Appreciation Tuesdays in Huntington Station, Lindenhurst, and Freeport which gives veterans and their families access to food, personal care items, household products, pet food, and school supplies. Also veterans are provided with information and resources pertaining to veteran special benefits. LI Cares also operates a Mobile Pantry which delivers nutritious groceries to homebound, disabled veterans unable to access their local pantries.

2-1-1 Tompkins/Cortland handles all phone registrations for mobile distribution events in Tompkins County. Currently, one distribution in Freeville on the second Tuesday of each month. Registration begins one day prior, either online or by calling 2-1-1 or 877-211-8667. Distributes food to people in need through more than 160 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other hunger relief organizations six counties.Administers several direct service food distribution programs including the food "BackPack Program" and Mobile Food Pantry.BackPack Program requires very specific foods.
