Provides educational information on water conservation, pesticide reduction and pollution awareness, integrated pest management practices, horticulture waste reduction, plant care for garden/landscape and pesticide safety. Operates Environmental Horticulture Information Center and a Horticulture Helpline. Horticulture enrollees receive L.I. Gardening Publication. Call for registration information. Conducts CCE Master Gardener volunteer training program. Soil testing and demonstration gardens are at East Meadow Farm location.

The Cornell Cooperative Extension links the research from Cornell University and applies it to maximize New York State's agricultural and natural resources. It also provides programming, services, and information regarding sustainability, nutrition, food safety, obesity prevention, and youth development/education (through the 4-H program). It is committed to contribute to NYS communities and empower their futures.
