Provides a full complement of services to adults ages 55 and over. Daytime programming includes breakfast, lunch, take-home food, exercise, field trips, transportation services, health and wellness information, assistance with senior benefits/issues, recreation and cultural activities, technology classes, workshops, and referral services. Also offers an emergency food pantry, open to residents living in zip code 14204. All services are operated and managed by seniors.

Program site is Wesley United Methodist Church. This program is partially funded by the Nassau County Department of Senior Citizen Affairs as a Senior Community Service Center.

Delivers food and some non-food items such as toiletries and diapers for those in need. Food can also be obtained by visiting the pantry with an appointment.

A program that provides supplementary nutrition in the form of healthy meals and snacks for preschool and school-age children and adults receiving day care. Licensed child care centers, Head Start programs, family day care homes, adult day care centers and homeless shelters serving families are eligible to participate and are reimbursed for a portion of the meals served. In the United States, the program is administered at the federal level by the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Homebound meals are hot nutritious meals that are delivered to qualified homebound seniors 60 years or older, who are residents of Sullivan County and have limited support and difficulty preparing their own meals. Participants can be referred for this service by contacting the Office for the Aging. Referrals can be made by individuals, doctors, neighbors, or friends. Participants may also receive assistance for other needed services through a complete assessment by an OFA Aging Services Specialist.

Offers a hot lunch, during the week at designated locations, to seniors, giving them an opportunity to socialize and participate in various programs and activities.

Offers a daily lunch meal, during the week, at various sites in the area, for older adults in the community who want to join others to eat.

Delivers two nutritious meals six days a week to residents who are unable to leave their homes due to illness, physical disability or advancing age and are unable to prepare adequate meals for themselves.

Provides congregate meals and home delivered meals for seniors 60+ years. Social, cultural, educational and recreational activities are also offered. Funded through Suffolk County Office for the Aging and Southampton Town.

Office for the Aging has congregate meals which are available to adults age 60 and older as well as their spouses of any age, without regard to income, up to five days a week. They also have a Meals on Wheels program which delivers meals to home bound older residents in the community.

The Office for the Aging offers many services for the senior residents of Steuben County including, but not limited to, information and referral, nutrition through congregate meals, advocacy, support groups, transportation services, caregiver services, case management, and the Bone Builders and Senior Meal Programs. Bone Builders and the Senior Dinner Clubs are overseen by Pro Action of Steuben-Yates.

Provides a nutritious meal, entertainment, and socialization opportunities in a congregate dining setting. Transportation assistance may be available. Participants can also receive nutrition education and counseling by a registered dietitian. This program is offered in partnership with Pro Action of Steuben and Yates.

Provides nutritious lunches and socialization at sites throughout the county. Promotes better health through improved nutrition, socialization, and supportive services.

Provides medically necessary services to allow participants to remain in their home in the community and out of a long-term care facility.

The Congregate Meal Program provides noon meals for seniors 5 days per week at 12 locations.

Serves as a focal point for older adults in the community which offers a wide variety of services and activities. Provides several activities including guest speakers, numerous exercise classes, card playing, bus trips, sport activities, and a daily lunch program.

This program provides delivery of a daily meal 5 times a week, which meets 1-3 of the Recommended Daily Allowance.
