CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM (CACFP) | HUNGER SOLUTIONS NEW YORK - NUTRITION CONSORTIUM

A program that provides supplementary nutrition in the form of healthy meals and snacks for preschool and school-age children and adults receiving day care. Licensed child care centers, Head Start programs, family day care homes, adult day care centers and homeless shelters serving families are eligible to participate and are reimbursed for a portion of the meals served. In the United States, the program is administered at the federal level by the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

YMCA Summer and After School Meals

A branch of the Jamestown YMCA that provides after school and summer meals to both YMCA programs and also other youth serving organizations. A full-service kitchen provides healthy meals to program participants and also delivers meals to other locations hosting after school programs (including agencies other than the YMCA) in the Jamestown area. Meals are offered free of charge to children (K-12th grade) through the USDA's Child & Adult Food Program (CACFP) and the Summer Food Service Program, which is available to program participants located in geographic areas deemed "at risk."

Child & Adult Care Food Program Sponsor - COI

A nutrition education and meal reimbursement program helping providers serve nutritious and safely prepared meals and snacks to children and adults in day care settings. Program will teach providers how to plan and serve meals that meet childcare standards for nutrition, and provide training to help providers run their home-based businesses or child care centers in a professional manner.

Child Care Resource & Referral Program - ACCORD

Assists parents with child care referrals and options paying for child care. Assists child care providers with technical assistance and training for all modalities of child care. Offers start up grants for in-home registered or licensed programs. Provides reimbursement to child care providers for serving healthy/approved meals and snacks through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Provides application assistance for Legally Exempt providers, including health and safety grants.

CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM (CACFP) | SULLIVAN COUNTY CHILD CARE COUNCIL

The program’s goal is for the children to develop good eating habits, improve their overall health and nutrition, and further educate children and adults on the importance of good nutrition. Providers are reimbursed for a portion of the meals and snacks that meet the nutritional requirement for children up to the age of 13 that are enrolled in their program.

CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM | CHILD CARE COUNCIL OF NASSAU

Provides partial reimbursement for nutritious meals and snacks served to children in legally exempt, family, and group child care settings. The program helps providers plan healthy meals and boost healthy eating habits in children.As a CACFP Sponsor, Child Care Council of Nassau provides on-site personalized one-on-one nutritional training and technical assistance. Child Care Council of Nassau also offers free nutritional workshops that count towards the NYS OCFS state-mandated training hours and assists child care providers in maintaining compliance with program requirements and NYS OCFS regulations.

Reimburses providers for nutritious snacks and meals that they serve to children in their care. Snacks and meals must meet USDA guidelines in order to receive reimbursement.
