Senior Social Care Program providing Stay Fit Dining where enrolled seniors are eligible to receive nutritious lunches, weekly social and physical activities, and educational programs. Also provides a bread and pastry pantry with access to fresh fruits and vegetables. Serves as a Cooling Center during times of extreme heat. Always call to make sure a Cooling Center is open before going there.

Nutrition Services - Genesee County Office for the Aging

Operates a nutrition program that provides a daily nutritionally balanced hot meal to older persons. Besides promoting health and nutrition, this program is designed to promote opportunities to socialize with others and to improve access to a variety of social and health services. All meals served provide at least one-third of the current dietary reference intakes as established by the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academy of Science, National Research Council. Meals are available at five congregate meal sites in the County and through a Home Delivered Meal program.

The program also presents opportunities for social engagement and meaningful volunteer roles, which contribute to overall health and well-being. Provides adult day services including personal care services, recreation, entertainment, games, crafts, light exercise, music, interaction with children, breakfast, and lunch. Provides a full complement of services to adults ages 55 and over. Meals for Seniors of Fulton County offers congregate dining at convenient local sites, home delivered meals, nutrition counseling, socialization and a volunteer program to persons over 60 and their spouses. They provide home delivered meals to homebound persons who are assessed and determined to be unable to meet their daily nutritional needs. Home delivered meals provide one hot noon meal and frozen weekend or supper meals. The Fulton County Office for Aging Nutrition program also offers Mom's Meals as an option for home delivered meals. The Fulton County Office for Aging offers nutrition education for older adults.
