* Operates a senior center providing services in a culture relevant to Latinos, monolingual in Spanish. Warm meals (breakfast and lunch). Health and wellness programs. Exercise classes. Arts and crafts classes. Recreation opportunities.

Provides nutritious meals, reservations are needed by noon the day before. A contribution of $4.00 is requested for people age 60+ and spouse of any age. Those under age 60 are charged $5.00 per meal. No one age 60+ or their spouse will be denied a meal due to an inability or unwillingness to contribute. Center provides various social activities including exercise groups, cards, games, crafts, trips and other special events.

Provides a hot dinner for seniors twice a month, giving them an opportunity to socialize together once a month during distributions - changes each month so call for more information

Provides meals and related nutrition services in congregate settings, which help to keep older Americans healthy and prevent the need for more costly medical interventions. Besides meals, services include nutrition screening and education and nutrition assessment and counseling as appropriate. The program also presents opportunities for social engagement and meaningful volunteer roles, which contribute to overall health and well-being. Meals are offered at multiple locations throughout Nassau County, please call the Office for the Aging for locations and details.
