CHILD NUTRITION AND SUMMER FOOD PROGRAMS | UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (USDA)

The Summer Food Program is designed to fill the nutrition gap and make sure children who normally receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch, can get the nutritious meals they need during the summer. Also provides information on other child nutrition programs available.

ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS - TIOGA COUNTY | TIOGA COUNTY HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES

Social Services promotes self-sufficiency by providing financial and social services to eligible County residents.Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDs) are SNAP recipients aged 18-64 who are able to work and don't have a dependent child in their household. They can only receive SNAP benefits for a limited time (3 months in a 36-month period) unless they meet certain work requirements or have an exemption. These work requirements generally involve working or participating in a work program for at least 20 hours per week (80 hours per month). SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - BROOME COUNTY DSS | BROOME COUNTY SOCIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT

CHILDREN'S BREAKFAST FOOD TRUCKS | LONG ISLAND CARES INC THE HARRY CHAPIN FOOD BANK

Offers a mobile breakfast program with free grab and go, shelf-stable breakfasts to children under the age of 18 when Nassau and Suffolk County schools are closed. Locations, days and times of mobile food trucks are announced monthly on licares.org

SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM | SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM

Provides kids and teens in low-income areas nutritious, free meals during the summer months when school is not in session. Local groups such as schools, government agencies, faith-based and other non-profit community organizations can sponsor a summer meals program and establish food service sites in various settings such as schools, parks, community centers, etc. The USDA website provides a searchable map to locate the closest summer meals site by zip code-online access only.
