RESTORE Sexual Assault Services & Wyoming County Domestic Violence Project

Provides crisis intervention and support services to anyone who is a survivor of sexual assault or domestic violence and to their families. All services are confidential. Trained counselors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide information and support, enabling clients to make informed choices concerning medical, legal, and counseling needs, while offering advocacy and information about their rights. Counselors offer short-term counseling (6-8 sessions); medical, legal, and court accompaniment; crisis intervention for sexual assault survivors and their significant others; support through medical examinations and treatment; advocacy and support during interaction with law enforcement; individual consultations with professionals; community education programs; professional training programs; and referrals for additional needed services. Serves as the point of contact for domestic violence shelter placement in Wyoming County. Victims of domestic violence in Wyoming County who are in need of shelter placement referral should call 585-786-5450 or 585-623-5299.

Haven House - Child & Family Services

Serves survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence ages 16 and older and their dependent children. Anyone feeling unsafe in a relationship can call or chat using the confidential hotline, operated by trained, compassionate staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide information and support. Services provided include confidential domestic violence shelter, supportive counseling, legal and court advocacy, assistance obtaining orders of protection, safety planning, parenting after violence service, education and support groups, transitional housing, and rapid rehousing. Individuals interested in connecting with one or more of these services should call the hotline or chat online at: https://cfsbny.org/hh-chat/ Provides six-week classes entitled "Domestic Violence Education and Parenting After Violence". This series uses a trauma-informed care model in a group setting to cover parenting issues and symptomology related to custody, separation/divorce, co-parenting, parallel parenting, foster care placements, etc. Also provides community trainings to inform and educate Western New Yorkers to recognize the signs of domestic violence and to better understand different forms of abuse. Cornerstone Manor

Provides shelter for homeless women and children as well as relief for individuals in domestic violence situations. Offers security 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Stays are generally 30 days with an extension if needed. Arrangements are made for residents to move to transitional living situations in an effort to attain self-sufficiency. Provides transitional housing for women. Services provided to residents include: on-site medical care; classroom for preschool children; certified public school teachers and classroom for school age children; licensed daycare; referrals for case management, food, clothing, and shelter; links with social workers and mental health counselors; and a 12 step recovery program for drug and alcohol abuse. HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm; Shelter operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE | BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES NORTH (BHSN)

Provides support serves for victims of intimate partner violence with temporary housing, emergency transportation, childcare and advocacy with courts, law enforcement, Department of Social Services, etc. Also offers supportive counseling and safety planning, loaning of cell phones, assistance with NYS Office of Victim Services compensation claims and Family Offense Petitions. Domestic violence education is also available for individuals, groups and staff secondary schools, and colleges.
