Casey House Youth Shelter - Pinnacle Community Services

Runaway Program consisting of coordinated services for runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth and their families. Youth shelter provides temporary, emergency shelter services for youth ages 12-17. Transitional services program serves youth 16-21 years old and provides non-residential services to help young people learn valuable skills to become strong, independent adults. Services include housing search assistance, educational assistance, counseling, support accessing medical services, and job hunting and interviewing skills.

EMERGENCY YOUTH SHELTER | SAINT ANNE'S INSTITUTE

Provides short-term crisis shelter, respite, street outreach, and support services for runaway/homeless youth to assist in the return to their homes or another possible safety home environment as the goal. This service provides bus passes, hygiene supplies, school supplies. Therapy counseling is also available 3 times a week (during Covid-19 session are available over the phone).

Offers shelter to women in Patchogue ages 18 plus, without children who find themselves forced to leave home due to eviction, abuse, or other factors. They can access Mercy for comprehensive services to help them find their way back to independent living. Residents live in a safe, structured environment, work in the community, receive case management, counseling, and ongoing learning in the home environment.

THE SANCTUARY - CHILDREN'S VILLAGE | ROCKLAND COUNTY YOUTH BUREAU

The Sanctuary provides shelter for runaway and homeless youth 12-17 years of age and youth in need of respite services. The Children's Village has operated the program since 2009 and is located on the main campus in Valhalla, NY. Transportation is provided from anywhere in Rockland to the shelter, to and from school, medical appointments, services, etc. In addition, The Sanctuary offers individual, family and group counseling that encourages the involvement of parents or legal guardians; information and referrals, outreach to local youth; and aftercare plans.

Safe House of Chautauqua County - COI

Offers a homeless shelter and transitional housing program for runaway youth. Youth up to 17 years old can access Safe House services on a voluntary basis. Youth receive case management services which include developing a Youth Development Plan, setting personal goals, receiving referrals for additional services, participating in family meetings and mediation, and developing a transition plan to encourage family reunification. Staff offer supportive services including life skills education and family/community based activities for youth enrolled in the shelter or transitional housing program and their families. While in the Safe House, youth participate in a variety of enrichment activities to assist in Personal Asset Development. Activities include financial literacy education, civic responsibility education, healthy lifestyles education, and community service projects.

RUNAWAY AND HOMELESS YOUTH SHELTER PROGRAM | HOPE FOR YOUTH

A short term emergency shelter for runaway and homeless youth ages 12-20 years old. The program is a voluntary program for up to 30 days. Each youth has an individualized care plan that addresses academic needs, mental health needs, substance abuse needs, and skills necessary to work toward self-sufficiency. The home is supervised 24 hours per day and the staff includes MSW's Residential Counselors and Bachelor's level professionals. This is a co-ed program.

CAPTAIN RUNAWAY HOMELESS YOUTH SHELTER | CAPTAIN COMMUNITY HUMAN SERVICES

The CAPTAIN SHELTER is a temporary shelter certified by the Office of Children and Family Services, where young people can live with others in a safe and comfortable setting. It has beendesigned for youth between the ages of 13 and 17 who are homeless or in a runaway situation. The Youth Home provides an atmosphere in which youth are involved in the daily activities of a home and receive support and encouragement from adults they can trust. During their stay, all efforts are made to reunite these young people with their families.

Youth work on independent living skills, such as budgeting, banking, housekeeping, cooking, etc.
