The Housing Voucher Program offers rental assistance to eligible low to moderate income families and individuals who want to reside in Chenango County and help them gain safe and adequate housing.Monthly rental payments are provided based on the family size and income. Also, all rental units for the Housing Choice Voucher Program must meet HUD housing quality standards for the occupant's health and safety. The Housing Choice Voucher Program has a wait list (18-24 months) and applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to start the process.
