Baby Needs Program at The Genesis Center

Meets the emergency needs of infants and very young children by providing them with a supply of diapers, infant formula, baby food, shoes, blankets, and sheets. Complete clothing closet offers clothing for newborn to size 8. Occasionally, various baby items such as strollers, pack and play, etc. may be available. Quantities are limited for all items.

Community Cares Center - Saving Grace Outreach

Provides a food pantry. Baby items available, including baby food, formula, and diapers. Also offers cooking classes, after school programs (which include enrichment activities such as archery and various events), and summer youth programs. Summer program options include a free drop-in day camp, which usually lasts 3 hours per day and provides lunch, and an all-day camp for which there is a daily fee. Also hosts Baby Cafe, a free, drop-in, informal breastfeeding support groups offering ongoing professional lactation care and intervention.

Provides emergency services on a walk-in or referral basis, including food pantry, rental assistance for eviction prevention, utility shut-off assistance, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, and diapers. Emergency clothing and limited household supplies available by voucher to Community Action's Main Street Thrift Store (also located at 131 South Main Street). Also offers personalized case management, through which clients can be connected with vital services such as primary care, behavioral health services, peer counseling, insurance enrollment, and health home coordination, with the goal of empowering families to achieve long-term self-sufficiency.
