Provides food and clothing pantry services. Individuals can receive food once monthly. Will deliver food in an emergency. Serves as a surplus food distribution site. Lunch served on weekdays by Maudie Mae's Community Kitchen. Free Thanksgiving and Christmas meals provided, along with a Breakfast With Santa. Holiday baskets also available for residents of Eastern Orleans County, including the Village of Holley, Town of Clarendon, and Town of Murray. Provides family development/case management services. Offers public access computers with internet and senior activities including bingo and crafts. When funding is available, provides rent and utility assistance in emergency situations under specific circumstances; clients should reach out and share their circumstances to learn whether they'd be eligible. Also offers a health clinic which provides the following: - Telehealth services - Health coach services, including health referrals and guidance on health insurance - Visits from Oak Orchard Health's mobile health unit, which provides lab services and a nurse practitioner

Provides emergency services on a walk-in or referral basis, including food pantry, rental assistance for eviction prevention, utility shut-off assistance, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, and diapers. Emergency clothing and limited household supplies available by voucher to Community Action's Main Street Thrift Store (also located at 131 South Main Street). Also offers personalized case management, through which clients can be connected with vital services such as primary care, behavioral health services, peer counseling, insurance enrollment, and health home coordination, with the goal of empowering families to achieve long-term self-sufficiency.

Emergency Assistance - ECDSS

Assists eligible individuals in a crisis by issuing one-time, non-recurring payments to meet emergency situations. The unit may assist with security agreements to landlords, extermination fees, moving or storage expenses, and utility arrears payments to avoid shut-offs or to restore service. Financial assistance is made in the form of a loan for utility shut-off, evictions, moving/storage expenses, property repair, rental assistance, mortgage assistance, and foreclosure. A security agreement is provided to landlords instead of a security deposit. Also will assist individuals with "once only" emergency needs if eligible (i.e. prevent an eviction; prevent a utility shut-off; emergency car repair/car insurance to prevent the loss of employment; etc).
