The County Clerk is the County Registrar and Clerk of the Supreme and County Courts. Oversees Licenses and Monitors Daycare and Home based Daycare Facilities. Offers online information including a Child Care Facility Search feature which provides a listing of regulated child care providers in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. There is also an online screening tool to help parents determine their eligibility for financial support from the state's Child Care Assistance Program for low or no-cost child care.

Grants licenses for contractors who want to build or do home improvement work in Westchester.

Offers a non-credit-bearing certificate program leading to eligibility for the licensure examination and PN licensure. This program includes classroom theory, theoretical knowledge, and clinical experiences to prepare students to take the NCLEX-PN for licensure as a Practical Nurse and the opportunity to pursue advanced college training. The Eastern Suffolk School of Practical Nursing offers the following programs each September: An 11-month, full-time day program which meets September through August, M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; A 17-month, part-time evening program which meets September through June, M-Th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. AND the following September through March, M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and A part-time day program is available to seniors enrolled in the high schools of the first supervisory district which meets September through June, M-F from 7:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. OR 12:00 noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Bixhorn Technical Center in Bellport, NY; AND will meet the following September through March, M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for Level II post secondary at the Adult Education Center in Brentwood. Offers programs that will help you launch your professional aviation career at Western Suffolk BOCES whose school of Aviation Maintenance Technology is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration. BOCES has helped prepare students to become FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant technicians. This 1,910-hour AMT program is located at Wilson Tech’s Republic Airport campus in Farmingdale, NY. BOCES offers small classes, state-of-the-art equipment and highly skilled and experienced instructors. Those who satisfactorily complete this AMT school are eligible to take the FAA exams that lead to FAA licenses in Airframe and Powerplant.
