* Administer's City Offices City Clerk: Issues accessible parking permits, dog licenses, marriage licenses, building permits, alarm permits, business, vendor, and gaming licenses. Issues passports to American citizens. Mayor's Office.

Serves as the record keeper for the county and provides certificates and licensing for residents. Other services include processing passport applications as well as maintaining county archives.

Offers a graduate-level advanced certificate program that prepares students to sit for the Registration Examination for Dietitians (RD Exam), administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) (https://www.cdrnet.org/certifications/registered-dietitian-rd-certification). Through coursework and supervised clinical experiences, students are equipped with the skills and knowledge to serve communities through the promotion of optimal nutrition, health and well-being. The need for dietetics practitioners is expected to increase as the health care community places a greater emphasis on the benefits of healthy eating, disease prevention and medical nutrition therapy. Upon successful completion of the Dietetic Internship, a Certificate of Advanced Studies is awarded, and students are eligible to sit for the (RD Exam). Enforces standards of professional conduct in the professions except medicine. Forty seven professions are regulated such as Acupuncture, Architecture, Engineering, Medical, Dental, Mental Health, Accounting, Social Work, All professional practitioners, and Non-Professions.

Accepts license applications for individuals seeking to operate a Family-Type Home residence under the Foster Care Program for Adults. Family-Type Homes are operated by individuals within their own home, and are subject to inspection & oversight by DSS. Accepts/makes referrals for individuals interested in placement to a Family-Type Home. Family-Type Homes provide care for individuals who do not require medical or skilled nursing, but who may require room, board, and certain personal care services such as laundry and housekeeping.

Oversees filing, recording and storing official documents and acts as agent for state and federal governments for passports, pistol permits, and sporting licenses. The County Clerk is the County Registrar and Clerk of the Supreme and County Courts.

Grants licenses for contractors who want to build or do home improvement work in Westchester.

Provides continuing education and opportunities to network for businesses looking to improve the quality of their products and delivery of services. Covers a broad range of industries including education, government, manufacturing, health care, engineering and financial services.

Offers many different computer courses including Microsoft Office, programming, web design, page layout, and database administration. Students are required to bring their own USB flash drive with a minimum of 1GB of storage to all computer classes. Assists individuals interested in operating a school-age or family child care program with New York State registration or enrollment requirements. Offers child care provider training and technical assistance. Sponsors child care provider participation in the Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Acts as custodian of the records for the County and maintains records of deeds and mortgages, and public information records. Other services include processing passport applications as well as maintaining town records and archives.

Offers a non-credit-bearing certificate program leading to eligibility for the licensure examination and PN licensure. This program includes classroom theory, theoretical knowledge, and clinical experiences to prepare students to take the NCLEX-PN for licensure as a Practical Nurse and the opportunity to pursue advanced college training. The Eastern Suffolk School of Practical Nursing offers the following programs each September: An 11-month, full-time day program which meets September through August, M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; A 17-month, part-time evening program which meets September through June, M-Th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. AND the following September through March, M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and A part-time day program is available to seniors enrolled in the high schools of the first supervisory district which meets September through June, M-F from 7:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. OR 12:00 noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Bixhorn Technical Center in Bellport, NY; AND will meet the following September through March, M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for Level II post secondary at the Adult Education Center in Brentwood. Offers a 350-hour accreditation program to train anyone who is interested in becoming an alcohol/substance abuse counselor.

Offers child care providers, over the age of 18 and licensed or registered by New York State Office of Children and Family Services, the MAT (Medication Administration Training) certifying child care providers to administer medication to children in their programs. Also offers parents and child care providers health care consults with RN's on any issue regarding MAT and non-MAT Health Care Programs. Will conduct site visits to ensure compliance with state child care regulations and act as resources for child care providers.
