Eviction Assistance: Provides help to low income who are qualified for subsidized housing and section 8 choice vouchers. For those who may not be qualified for subsidized/section 8, provide older adults, veterans, domestic violence, LGBQT, breast cancer, or individuals diagnosed with AIDS who may be a target for eviction. Landlord/Tenant Dispute Resolution: Aids individuals struggling with their landlord for reasons ranging from eviction, living conditions, recurring problems, etc. Foreclosure Assistance: helps advocate for individuals with mortgage foreclosure with guidance through the legal process and representation, if needed.

Provides housing counseling for landlord/tenant-rights and responsibilities, rent payment increases and eviction situations, and mortgage counseling to homeowners. Pre-purchase, pre-rental and mortgage default counseling. Call. Appointment preferred.

Offers advice and/or legal representation to persons with consumer debt issues, especially in matters of medical and credit card debt. Call for further information. Appointment required.

A not-for-profit public interest firm providing free legal services to low-income individuals and families in Western New York. NLS aims to create the greatest access to the justice system for low-income individuals and those living with disabilities to pursue goals that will increase both the stability and the quality of their lives. Assists with consumer legal issues including bankruptcy, frozen bank accounts, debt problems, student loans, ID theft, car problems, and utility shutoffs.

Provides emergency financial assistance in the form of one month's back rent and/or security to eligible clients. Budget counseling is also available to interested applicants.

Free energy efficiency and financial management workshops are held throughout the service territories. These Workshops are conducted by Cornell Cooperative Extension as part of the Empower New York Program with funding from NYSERDA.

Allows individuals and their family to have decision-making authority over the services that the individual receives to live independently. Offers a support team of three professionals to provide fiscal intermediary services, and support brokerage with the choice of independent or agency brokers (when availble).

A certified Hud-housing agency that provides tenant assistance, eviction prevention, home ownership counseling, landlord-tenant mediation, foreclosure counseling, first time home buyer counseling, reverse mortgage counseling, and housing court assistance. A loan/grant program is in place to assist with home improvement, weatherization and applications for funding for other housing-related services.

Provides services to aid in foreclosure prevention, tax foreclosure, mortgage payments, predatory lending or other related foreclosure issues.

Provides civil legal services regarding housing issues, consumer problems, income security/benefits, and language access.

Provides fiscial intermediary services for individuals who want to self-direct their OPWDD services.

Offers a variety of resources, including online materials, for individuals struggling with overspending and the professionals in the community who help them.
