Provides opportunities for individuals to experience personal growth, manage conflicts between family and employment demands. Assists individuals to improve job skills, expand problem solving abilities, master budgeting and time management.

Offers workshops or classes for schools, banks, employers, community organizations, and churches on personal money management, avoiding debt and managing credit. There are also seminars for the general public, including home buyer education.

Offers continuing education courses. Sample course offerings include: Adult Double Dutch Clinic, Aqua Aerobics, Black Dragon Fitness, Elder Law, Health Eating, English as a Second Language, Spanish for beginners and Intermediate, Line Dancing, Notary Public, Business Start-up, Pickleball, Sewing, Swimming and Volleyball. Provides education and tools that help people make smarter financial decisions that will improve their lives and strengthen their futures, at no cost to the organization and/or the employee, and clients. The program focuses on corporations, agencies and organizations, including those organizations that serve people with disabilities, seniors and domestic violence victims.

Represents clients in personal bankruptcy proceedings in federal court and counsel debtors on available alternatives to bankruptcy. Representation is provided by upper-level law students, working under the close supervision of experienced lawyers who are clinical professors. There is no charge for clinic representation. However, the clinics have limited resources and cannot take every case, no matter how deserving. Clinic staff members meet with potential clients by appointment only. Money Management International are specialists in the areas of money management, credit cards, budgeting, and debt reduction. We offer credit counseling over the telephone, online, and face-to-face at one of our 50+ branches across the nation.

Provides financial assistance in the form of no-interest loans or grants to prevent loss of housing, upon qualification for individuals or families in an emergency situation. Services also include negotiating with landlords, and information and referrals to other agencies to help with re-location and other housing needs. Also offers budget counseling to help families become more self-reliant.

Consumer Credit Counseling will help clients understand their credit report, explain their credit rights, show the client how to dispute errors and help develop a plan to improve the client's credit history.

Offers a program that is available for adults who are not able to manage their finances. It ensures the proper use of a person's income / resources and prevents the mismanagement and financial exploitation of those funds by others. A referral may be made at our Information, Resource, and Referral Services Unit in person or by calling.

Support Brokerage services are offered to individuals with developmental disabilities who self-direct some or all of their services. A Support Broker assists the individual initially with developing a self-directed budget and then with the day-to-day management of self-directed services. A Support Broker provides support and training to individuals and their families regarding the ongoing decisions and tasks associated with self-direction. Fiscal Intermediary services include tasks which support a participant who self directs an individualized budget. This includes tasks such as billing and payment of approved goods and services, fiscal accounting and reporting, Medicaid and corporate compliance, and general administrative supports. The Fiscal Intermediary is the employer of record for staff hired by the participant know as "Self-Hired".

Offers free, one-on-one, professional financial counseling to the residents of Onondaga County. Focuses on improvements in credit, banking, debt, and savings. Operates through partner agency counselors located at several locations in Syracuse. Currently offering services remotely only.

* Provides a free consultation with a bankruptcy lawyer to discuss options for debt relief under bankruptcy protection.

* Determines if bankruptcy will provide a fresh start to eliminate debts, stop foreclosure, or find relief from medical debts and credit card debt.

Assists middle and high school students prepare for their financial futures and transition into college and careers. Offers individualized assistance in filling out the FAFSA and applying for scholarships as well as classes on financial literacy.

Offers one-on-one counseling to assist homeowners who are or may need foreclosure prevention assistance through counseling and legal referral services.

Offers case management services as well as adult education classes such as computer instruction, financial literacy and resume preparation and presentation.
