Assists individuals and families who are at risk of homelessness due to an eviction notice or utility issues or help in avoiding foreclosure. Services include landlord mediation, utility company mediation, referrals, access to safe and affordable transitional housing. Households are counseled on restructuring debt, establishing reinstatement plans, foreclosure prevention strategies, loan forbearance, management of household finances, obtaining rental subsidies, landlord and renter rights, the eviction process and locating alternative housing. Financial assistance also consists of security deposit assistance, rent payment assistance, and assistance with back utilities and back rent. Transitional housing is located in Almond and is only for individuals or families who are facing homelessness.

Provides HUD approved educational programs, grants for modest income individuals and families to purchase their first home. Assistance may also be available to income qualified homeowners to make home repairs. Operates 52 rental units for modest income families. Also provides outreach, including foreclosure counseling.

Provides legal assistance to persons and families threatened with homelessness due to eviction, foreclosure, utility shutoff, code violations, or other causes including mobile home park issues and land contract problems. Assists the household in trying to resolve the housing crisis and provides legal case management services to help the household maintain economic stability. Works to prevent evictions and, with community partners, provides rapid re-housing to our clients.

Seniors receive counseling on housing situations such as rentals, home ownership issues, real estate tax exemptions, foreclosure prevention and special government programs for eligible seniors.

Provides information workshops with regard to foreclosure prevention and one-on-one counseling for borrowers in foreclosure. Offers assistance in payments of mortgage, utility, property tax and water service. Services include negotionation with lenders, services for loan modifications, budget counseling, and legal services may be provided.

HRH provides free and professional foreclosure counseling services to families who otherwise can't afford quality assistance.

Provides listing of HUD certified, home counseling agencies for current and prospective home buyers and renters.

Provides credit counseling, housing counseling (Pre/Post Purchase, Mortgage Delinquency), Foreclosure Prevention Services, Student Loan Counseling, Pre Bankruptcy Counseling, Reverse Mortgage Counseling, and debt management for families, with an emphasis on budget development and maintenance while repairing unsecured debts. Also educates families in management of finances.

Offers default mortgage counseling, and loss mitigation services to homeowners with FHA loans, conventional loans, and reverse mortgages, and seeks to assist in maintaining properties to prevent foreclosure through negotiating with lenders for mortgage delinquencies. Does not offer cash assistance. Also perform budget analysis in order to educate individuals and prevent homelessness as well as assist families and/or individuals in their transition to permanent housing. Call. Eviction Assistance: Provides help to low income who are qualified for subsidized housing and section 8 choice vouchers. For those who may not be qualified for subsidized/section 8, provide older adults, veterans, domestic violence, LGBQT, breast cancer, or individuals diagnosed with AIDS who may be a target for eviction. Landlord/Tenant Dispute Resolution: Aids individuals struggling with their landlord for reasons ranging from eviction, living conditions, recurring problems, etc. Foreclosure Assistance: helps advocate for individuals with mortgage foreclosure with guidance through the legal process and representation, if needed.

Provides free and confidential, phone or in person counseling, where a counselor analyzes income and debt, foreclosure, etc and develops a budget and action plan, and recommends a solution. If individual qualifies for and chooses to begin a Debt Management Program, counselor will negotiate payment terms and concessions with creditors. Also provides workshops and online resources that teaches how to improve money management skills and other financial help.

Provides a program designed to help homeowners remain in their homes by preventing and/or delaying foreclosure. Cases covered include mortgage foreclosure, tax foreclosures, and tenants being evicted due to foreclosure.

* Provides legal services and counseling for civil matters to low-income people. Legal education and information. Health care advocacy. Elder Law advocacy. SSI disability advocacy.
