Assists housing choice voucher tenants to become economically self-sufficient. Case manager meets with each family and conducts a needs assessment to determine appropriate support services and access to resources such as child care, transportation, job training, education, budget counseling, homeownership counseling and more.

The Debt Management Program (DMP) gives participants a personalized, structured, repayment plan to address each creditors requirements. Unlike a bankruptcy or debt settlement, clients repay 100% of the original debt over several years.

ETC provides temporary housing units for Social Services and permanent housing for homeless. Services include financial counseling, legal and family issues, community meals and employment assistance.

The Debt Repayment Plan is licensed through the New York State Banking Department, and in addition to the financial counseling offers negotiated repayments in order to repay creditors and avoid bankruptcy. An educational program to help families or individuals with their finances by helping them devise a workable budget, analyze spending, assess credit and debt issues. This includes workshops for youth, adults, families one-on-one or in groups.

Assist in training in life skills and creating monthly financial budgets in order to maintain independent lifestyles. Broker also helps develop and maintain the Circle of Support and works closely with the Medicaid Service Coordinator to develop a comprehensive plan. The Broker assists with identifying services, monitors the person’s expenses and provides guidance and training for self-hired staff.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education Program (SNAP-Ed) helps people with limited incomes learn how to eat better for less money. It is a free, confidential nutrition education program to help you and your family manage your food resources during tough economic times.

ACS provides classes on budget development & record keeping, consumer rights and obligations, complaint resolution, and individual budget and money management counseling.

Pre-purchase budget reviews and referrals to private lenders and government agencies, as well as default counseling to avoid foreclosure.
