Services include budget planning, financial education, resource referral, and debt management. Debt management is a renegotiation of the unsecured debts owed by a client with their creditors in order to get better repayment terms such as lower interest rates, waiving or reduction of fees, and re-aging of accounts in exchange for a consistent consolidated monthly payment made by the client. This is NOT a debt settlement program.

Financial Counseling | Clearpoint Credit Counseling Solutions (Admin Site)

Provides financial counseling which includes a review of income, expenses, and debt to create a plan for achieving financial goals. Offers tips on money management and alternatives for handling financial crisis. A wide range of education presentations, workshops and classes are available to groups of people of all ages on a wide variety of topics. The Debt Repayment Plan is licensed through the New York State Banking Department, and in addition to the financial counseling offers negotiated repayments in order to repay creditors and avoid bankruptcy. Also provides counseling for student loans.
