The County Department(s) of Probation and Corrections work to preserve the safety of the citizens and reintegration of offenders back into the community.

Conducts pre-sentence and pre-dispositional investigations for all courts in Oswego County, supervises persons sentenced by the courts to probation and persons released from Oswego County Jail by conditional release, handles Family Court intakes, and collects and disburses restitution monies for crime victims.

Provides supervision of juveniles and adults who have been sentenced to probation including electronic monitoring and overseeing restitution payments. The mission of the Dutchess County Office of Probation and Community Corrections is to protect the community through intervention in the lives of those under supervision by facilitating compliance with court orders and serving as a catalyst for positive change.
