Provides court mandated 26, 40, and 52 session educational programs for male domestic violence offenders. Serves as an accountability mechanism for the domestic violence, civil, and criminal courts, as well as agents of the courts--probation, parole, and Child Protective Services (CPS)--as part of a coordinated civil and criminal justice response to men's violence against a partner. Men may also participate voluntarily.

Provides a number of support services for anyone who is a victim of domestic violence and sexual assault. Services include 24/7 hotline, confidential emergency shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, court assistance and accompaniment, safety for pets left behind, transportation, translation and referrals to other services or resources that will be needed. Offers a Victim Impact Panel run by the Suffolk County Probation Department in conjunction with the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD). The DUI Victim Impact Panel Program is an awareness program for offenders convicted of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. The panels consist of a non-confrontational presentation consisting of crime victims telling their own personal stories of how impaired drivers forever changed their lives. The panel presents a unique perspective to the offender that is often overlooked or simply cannot be taught by the courts and the DUI offender schools. Outpatient mental health services including individual, marital, family, parent, and group therapy; depression and anxiety counseling; psychiatric assessment and treatment; medication management and provision; crisis intervention and case management; specialized programs in stress management; domestic violence intervention for victims and perpetrators; and trauma recovery.

Latinas Prosperando or Thriving Latinas program is for Latina immigrant women who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and/or stalking. DVU supervises cases referred by the courts for persons who have committed domestic violence offenses and insures compliance for court orders.

Provides emergency financial assistance, domestic violence offenders program, counseling, parent and child counseling services, kinship caregiver program, care coordination, food and clothing assistance, Multisystemic Therapy (MST), and referrals as needed.

Provides an emergency shelter for domestic violence victims and their children. Offers substance abuse and alcohol treatment services in English and Spanish to special need clients. Specialized care includes a woman's track that employs a trauma informed framework, a mentally ill chemical abuser (MICA) program, a batterer intervention program for clients mandated to treatment or referred from parole/probation or Integrated Domestic Violence courts, and OMH Adult Satellite Clinic that serves adults and young adults with mental health and substance abuse. Provides assistance to individuals who have a history of aggressive behavior with the opportunities of change learned behaviors through education. Clients are educated on the legal implications of their behavior as well as its efforts on their significant other and family members. Emphasis is placed on learning to take responsibility for one's behavior and learning to control violent impulses. Clients are given information on counseling services available to them and their families.

Program works closely with the Niagara Country District Attorney's office to assist in achieving an outcome that the complainant/victim is satisfied with. If you feel you may be involved in a domestic violence relationship or have questions regarding domestic violence, the "Key To Lockout" Program may be able to assist you with filing a report, seeking an order of protection, safety planning for you and your children, court advocacy, and referrals to community agencies such as emergency shelters, counseling programs, and family court.
