Offers police services to the high school and middle school, for protection, education and prevention against potential problems. Also, in the high school, recruits students who are interested in law enforcement to attend a training program at the police academy to get an overview of what a police career would be like.

Provides full-time, specifically trained officers in schools with the primary duty to protect the school's safe environment and to maintain an atmosphere where students, teachers and staff feel safe enough to learn, which also includes investigating criminal activity occurring on school campuses. The S.R.O. also visits classrooms and teaches students concepts of safety, traffic laws, general law, and crime prevention techniques, and works closely with individual teachers to create special programs tailored to specific units of study.
