Offers workshops on bullying (DASA), relational aggression, cyber safety, child abuse, child abduction, sexual harassment, violence prevention, gender equity, and conflict solving for teachers, parents and students. Licensure training workshops for recognizing and reporting child abuse, violence prevention and DASA for all educational staff requiring NYS Certification.

Offers courses required by The New York State Education Department for all applicants for teacher and administrator certifications and students enrolled in teacher/administrator preparation programs. The following workshops are offered: Identifying and Reporting Suspected Child Abuse; Prevention and Intervention of School Violence (SAVE); Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) ; Autism Workshop and Identification and Referral of Substance Abuse. These workshops are available to Stony Brook University and non-Stony Brook University students. Preventive services are supports and assistance to help a family learn skills (such as coping skills, parenting skills, budgeting skills, anger management, etc.) that will prevent a child from being abused and therefore removed from the home.
