K-12 PREVENTION THROUGH EDUCATION WORKSHOPS | CAPS - CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION SERVICES

Offers a variety of workshops on classroom violence prevention and child safety education for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Workshops are targeted for specific grade levels and held in small classroom settings. Topics include Internet safety, bullying, child abuse prevention, sexual harassment awareness and prevention and date/acquaintance rape awareness and prevention. Call for more information.

DIGNITY ACT CERTIFICATION TRAINING IN HARASSMENT, BULLYING, CYBERBULLYING AND DISCRIMINATION IN SCHOOLS | CAPS - CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION SERVICES

Provides a six hour course for Dignity Act Certification Training in bullying, harassment, cyberbullying and discrimination in schools. Provider is New York State approved for training. Schools may call to request special scheduling of this course. Course also offered off site. Call for upcoming locations.

LIFESTYLES CENTER | STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK AT OSWEGO

Provides a prevention program that promotes low-risk choices for students and reflects the attitudes, behaviors, and values of healthy lifestyles. Peer Educators are trained to facilitate on-campus and off-campus presentations that deal with alcohol and other drugs, general wellness, violence prevention, and sexual health. Other services include street outreach, resource and information library, video library, pamphlets, brochures, and periodicals.

RAISE THE BAR | VERA HOUSE

Partners with alcohol-serving establishments in Onondaga County to create safe environments that help to prevent sexual and relationship violence and sexual harassment. Participating establishments' staff and management are trained in the Safer Bars Model, which focuses on bystander intervention and building skills for identifying and responding to sexual aggression and relationship abuse, with a focus on prevention.
