The Center offers a non-threatening atmosphere where law enforcement and child protective services come together to talk to child victims and their non-offending family members. With a coordinated team response, law enforcement investigators, prosecutors, social workers, advocates, and medical and mental health professionals provide child victims and their families with high-quality, specialized services. Helping abused children and their families requires an approach that addresses physical, emotional, and legal dimensions of abuse. It requires a coordinated response from experienced professionals to reduce stress throughout the investigation and intervention process.

Provides a number of support services for anyone who is a victim of domestic violence and sexual assault. Services include 24/7 hotline, confidential emergency shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, court assistance and accompaniment, safety for pets left behind, transportation, translation and referrals to other services or resources that will be needed. Sexual Assault and Prevention Services-SAPA (formerly known as Rape Crisis Services or Orange County Rape Crisis) provides 24/7 advocacy services including crisis intervention and accompaniment for adult and child survivors of sexual violence.

Serves as a liaison to the Nassau County Multi Disciplinary Team and service providers. Assists in completing Crime Victim's Compensation.
