Provides teen gang and violence intervention programs.

The Court Liaison Unit includes the Preventive/Post Institutional Project, and Reach for Peace (Gang/Violence Protection). These programs provide legal advocacy, case management and counseling services to youth in the adult/juvenile criminal justice system who are under age 21 and reside in Long Beach, Island Park, East Atlantic Beach, Lido Beach or Point Lookout. Advocates alternatives to incarceration and provides transitional services for youth returning to the community from residential placement

Works to reduce gang violence and promote a variety of opportunities and other competencies that give the youth in the local community alternatives to a violent life on the street.Provides a wide array of services for youth already involved in the criminal system including case management, social work services, counseling, and Moral Reconation Therapy. Also provides community based and school based prevention services to youth at risk for engaging in criminal.

Offers a community outreach program for at risk youth, residents, organizations and businesses in the Incorporated Village of Hempstead aimed at reducing gun violence and strengthening the community through partnership, provides referrals to appropriate agencies, educational and employment assessments along with crisis intervention and conflict mediation.

Provides support to community agencies dealing with gang related activities. Coordinates existing community-based gang prevention, intervention programs and reinforces strategies that are closely aligned with law enforcement efforts.

Presents a program that is an evidence-based curriculum offered in many states throughout the nation. The classroom curriculum is taught by Suffolk County Deputy Sheriffs and Correction Officers who received specialized training to present to elementary and middle school students. Prevention as its primary objective, the program aims to prevent bullying, youth crime, violence, drug use, and gang involvement while promoting a positive relationship among law enforcement, families, and our youth. G.R.E.A.T. Lessons focus on life skills designed to help students avoid using delinquent behavior and violence to solve problems, and further helps them make positive choices in life. Offers an opportunity for adults and teens to work, in collaboration, with other agencies and the community, to address and reduce gang violence through monthly meetings, educating the community, and training volunteers to educate children and adults.

Provides a partnership between law enforcement and community service agencies which aim to reduce gang violence by offering a life coach to assist those seeking escape from group/gang involvement.

Presents a series of workshops that motivate, educate and empower both adults and youth on the importance of reducing gang violence. Focuses on topics such as prevention/intervention, perils of gang life, decision making and gang awareness among others. Presents workshops for groups, schools and organizations. Assists state and local jurisdictions in the monitoring and analysis of gang-related activity and offers strategies for anti-gang programs.
