The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is an advocate and resource for persons who reside in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities and adult homes. They protect patient rights, work to improve residents' quality of life and advocate for change. Volunteers are trained to work as resident advocates, who in turn work with residents, family members and facility staff.

Responds to the needs of developmentally disabled individuals and their families/caregivers who are experiencing a crisis situation. Crisis intervention may include any situation by which a developmentally disabled individual needs an immediate alternative day or residential option, when traditional service delivery models do not meet families' needs and when linkage and referral services are needed to connect the individual with ongoing services which address behavioral, medical, or situational needs.
