Additionally, assistance with employment issues can be accessed through a VA Medical Center, and assistance with legal matters.Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) provide affordable, accessible care to veterans outside VA's core medical services by offering services like primary care, counseling, lab work, prescriptions, and radiology, while reducing travel time and wait times for outpatient care.Veterans Benefits Administration Offices (Regional Offices) provide veterans with earned benefits and services, including compensation, pension, vocational rehabilitation, home loans, death benefits, employment support, and disability assistance.Vet Centers offer free readjustment counseling and outreach services to veterans who served in combat zones and their families for military-related issues.

Provides free legal assistance to veterans and their families. The clinic gives priority to matters that will prevent or relieve homelessness or remove barriers to the reintegration of veterans into civilian life. Typical matters handled in the clinic include: Landlord-tenant/eviction; Debt relief/collection; Bankruptcy; Mortgage Foreclosure; Driver’s license restoration; Child support modification; Unemployment insurance; Warrants and fines; Income tax; Benefits applications and appeals and Discharge upgrades. All representation is free of charge and strictly confidential. Representation is provided by upper-level law students, working under the close supervision of experienced lawyers who are clinical professors. There is no charge for clinic representation. However, the clinics have limited resources and cannot take every case, no matter how deserving. Clinic staff members meet with potential clients by appointment only. Also offers confidential non-medical counseling services online, via telephone, or face to face. Eligible individuals may receive confidential non-medical counseling addressing issues requiring short-term attention, including everyday stressors, deployment and reintegration concerns, parenting, grief and loss, and marital as well as assistance with financial management, taxes, career services, health and wellness and much more. Offers a volunteer service provided by veterans for veterans. Any veteran requesting DAV transport should call at least two (2) weeks before an appointment. The DAV Transportation Coordinator will determine eligibility and availability of transportation. Since space is limited, you must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
