Designed to assist and guide victims of crime through the legal system and educate them on their rights. These services are provided in English and Spanish and include crisis intervention, court escort, legal assistance, education awareness, and victim advocacy.

SENIOR NEIGHBORHOOD ADVISOR PROGRAM | WESTCOTT COMMUNITY CENTER

Provides one-on-one advocacy and referral services for older adults, to assist them in obtaining the services they need to remain independent in their home setting. Promote awareness of community services, make referrals, and connect older adults with services like SSI, SNAP, or HEAP. Assist with locating needed services, such as health care, legal advice, transportation, housing, nutrition, exercise, socialization, and caregiver information.

Senior Life Matters - Lutheran

Assistance with coordination of care for seniors who live in their own homes, as well as their families. Assistance with linking appropriate resources and determining eligibility for SSI, Medicaid, Lifeline, Food Stamps, and telephone discounts. Assistance with paperwork for entitlement programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, Insurance counseling etc. Education and Counseling relating to Medicare and Medicare related products. Transportation to medical appointments for an hourly fee plus mileage. Assistance with selecting alternative living arrangements, with the goals of the older adult in mind.

An online resource that connects victims of crime with legal help and information on issues related to their housing, family, employment, finances, and more. Provides limited funding to help pay overdue bills to avoid shut off. Assists with working with Penn Yan Municipal, NYSEG, and other utility providers to secure extensions or payback plans.
