NCCRS is a program of the Rural Law Center of New York, Inc. The organization is staffed by mediation professionals and certified community volunteers, and is part of the statewide Community mediation Centers Program administered by the New York State Unified Court System.

* Provides legal services and counseling for civil matters to low-income people. Legal education and information. Health care advocacy. Elder Law advocacy. SSI disability advocacy. Domestic violence/victims of a crime. Medicare and Medicaid legal problems and denials. Fair housing enforcement/ housing discrimination and education. Public benefits such as SNAP. * Provides legal information to people who are homeless, at risk of losing their housing, or have a public benefits termination or denial; this includes: Evictions. Foreclosures. * Provides information for referrals for civil legal needs that are not listed. Resources can oftentimes link people with a source of assistance.

Offers free legal services for individuals living with or affected by HIV/AIDS in cases regarding access to health care services, HIV/AIDS-based discrimination, housing matters, assistance with denials or termination of benefits, health care proxies, powers of attorney, simple wills, family court matters, and divorce.

Provides free legal advice, counseling, advocacy and representation for low income individuals in civil (non-criminal) matters.

Legal services are provided by advisors affiliated with the Center for Elder Law and Justice. Legal advisors may assist with issues such as advance directives, will preparation, elder abuse, scams, Medicare rights, pension benefits, landlord/tenant disputes, and consumer problems.

Offers legal services for non-criminal matters and non-fee generating cases only. An attorney provides advice on estate planning, wills, Power of Attorney (POA) and Health Care Proxy documents, assists with consumer issues and assists with landlord/tenant disputes. The attorney does not provide court representation.

Helps low-income people obtain an uncontested divorce, with assistance from volunteer attorneys and law students

Offers free legal services for individuals living with or affected by HIV/AIDS in cases regarding access to health care services, HIV/AIDS-based discrimination, housing matters, assistance with denials or termination of benefits, health care proxies, powers of attorney, simple wills, family court matters, and divorce.

Offera advice and assistance in completing end of life legal documents including wills, living wills, health care proxies, and powers of attorney on a one-on-one basis. Notaries and witnesses are provided to execute the documents at the end of the client's session.

Offers legal counseling, information, and assistance with such concerns as Health Care Proxy, wills, guardianship, power of attorney, living wills and trusts, consumer fraud, contractual disputes, tenant-landlord disputes, home ownership questions, neighbor disputes, Social Security questions, Medicare and Medicaid related problems, SSI application, and eligibility questions.

Provides walk-in consultations for people seeking assistance with civil legal matters, including: - Divorce/Post-Divorce Matters - Landlord/Tenant/Housing Matters - Credit/Debtor Issues - Reentry Matters - Employment Matters Available every other Friday, 10am-3pm; call for dates. ##REENTRY##

Provides free civil legal services for individuals who are HIV positive or who have an HIV positive family member, including but not limited to: end of life planning, care and custody planning, unemployment, social security, public benefits, child support, custody, visitation, family offenses, divorce, discrimination, bankruptcy, housing problems, and name change.

Provides free advice and information about small estates, 17-A Guardianship, Power of Attorney, wills, and other trust and estate issues. May be able to provide on-the-spot assistance with filling out petitions for Surrogate's Court.

Lawyers provide free civil (non-criminal) advice, counseling, advocacy, and representation to low-income individual clients/groups.

Helps low-income people obtain an uncontested divorce, with assistance from volunteer attorneys and law students

Provides free workshops for seniors, and others, regarding the issues of elder law and financial, life, and estate planning.
