Offers students the opportunity to launch a satisfying career in skin care and make-up at Western Suffolk BOCES, a fully accredited Esthetics program on Long Island. This 600-hour, full-time Esthetics program is located at the Western Suffolk BOCES Northport campus. Those who satisfactorily complete this Esthetics program are eligible to take the New York State exam that leads to a license in Esthetics. Your NYS Esthetics license will help you find job opportunities with flexible hours, financial stability and job satisfaction in Nassau County, Suffolk County, and New York City. Students enjoy practicing on classmates and clinic clients as they study anatomy and physiology, bacteriology, sterilization, structure and function of the skin, facial procedures, use of various machines, waxing, basic make-up techniques, and business practices. Successful completion of the Esthetics program at Western Suffolk BOCES prepares you to sit for the New York State Esthetics licensing exam and includes 30-hour Laser Hair Removal certification. All Staller Center Arts and Education Outreach programs are free of charge to the campus and community and fully supported by generous private donations to the Barbara N. Wien Fund and the Educational Outreach Endowment from individuals who value advancing the arts in young people’s lives. Provides a not-for-profit, full-service speech and hearing center. We provide speech, language, and hearing evaluations and therapy to individuals and groups of all ages and all types of communication disorders. The HY Weinberg Center for Communication Disorders provides speech-language evaluations and intervention in-person and remotely, via telepractice. Speech/Language services include: Comprehensive Speech/Language; Evaluations; Individual and Group Therapy and Parent/Family Education. Hearing services include: Complete Audiological Evaluations; Hearing Aid Evaluations; Fitting and Dispensing of Hearing Aids; Immittance Testing; Central Auditory Testing; Auditory Brainstem Response Testing (ABR); Otoacoustic Emissions Testing and Aural Rehabilitation. Our School of Management programs encourage and promote an entrepreneurial mindset, and this certificate will equip you with an understanding of esports and the current market, as well as the tools to operate in the quickly evolving esports landscape. Sponsors programs on art and art history for the scholarly community and for the general public. Houses research collections on the art of Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner and their contemporaries. Located in East Hampton, the center is open to the public: May to October; Tuesdays-Sundays. The center, a National Historic Landmark, is operated as an historic site and research facility, and consists of the artists' house, their studio, and the study center containing the art reference library. There are two components of the certificate program. Offers a rigorous boot camp-style certificate program which transforms learners with no programming background into web developers and front-end developers who can build omnichannel, consumer-facing, rich front-end single-page applications (SPAs) using cutting-edge web technologies such as Core Java, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Mocha, Chai and Angular. Boot camp courses are taught 100 percent virtually through our proprietary learning management system with a combination of asynchronous and synchronous sessions via Zoom. This on-campus program allows students to acquire college credit and advanced status within the Westchester Community College Culinary Program while simultaneously working towards their high school graduation requirements.

Learn the skills and knowledge necessary to be a valuable member of today’s health care team as you work under the direction of nurses, doctors or other authorized health care provider. The School of Practical Nursing at Western Suffolk BOCES is approved by the New York State Education Department and accredited by the Council on Occupational Education. BOCES’ program offers a low student-to-teacher ratio that allows many opportunities for highly personalized, hands-on instruction. The School prepares students to work with patients and medical staff in medical facilities including nursing homes. Students are then assigned to a clinical site at one of Long Island’s excellent health care facilities where they work under the guidance of an experienced health care professional. Classes are held at Wilson Technological Center’s Northport campus. Those who successfully complete the New York State-approved Practical Nursing program at BOCES meet the qualifications for admission to the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN). Offers a boys basketball camp that is geared toward players entering grades 2-12 who desire training experience in all facets of basketball. At Hofstra’s popular Boys Basketball camps, our goal is for all participants to improve and reach their maximum potential. We provide individual coaching and group instruction as wells as 5-on-5 games and supervised competition. Campers are taught techniques and philosophies utilized by college and professional coaches and players. Campers are grouped according to age, skill level and experience. Your son will enhance his understanding of teamwork and competitive spirit, while upping his athletic ability and good sportsmanship. Hofstra University Boys Basketball Camp utilizes the University’s state-of-the-art, air-conditioned basketball arena; indoor and outdoor basketball courts; premiere dining facilities; an indoor, heated, Olympic-sized swimming pool; and a fully equipped infirmary staffed by registered nurses. Each camper should wear daily: cotton T-shirt, athletic shorts, and sneakers. Campers must also bring a water bottle. Bathing suit and towel will be needed on assigned swim days.
