Program works with out of school youth ages 16-24 from low-income families. Offers HSE prep, job training, counseling and leadership development. Students build affordable housing. Participants spend 6 to 12 months in the program and split time between the construction projects and GED preparation. Application is required.

Offers High School Equivalency (HSE) Preparation and General Educational Development (GED) courses. Preparatory classes are available to students who are 17 years of age and older. Courses enable students to prepare for the GED, earn a high school equivalency diploma, improve educational skill levels and increase employment opportunities. Nassau Community College is a public test site for anyone needing to take the TEAS exam. You do not need to be applying to Nassau to take the exam with us. The Community Programs and Testing Center is our computer-based test center which provides a centralized, proctored test environment for GED Testing, TEAS, CLEP and DSST.
