Provides short, non-credit programs focused on helping unemployed, underemployed, and career changing individuals enter manufacturing careers (Welding, CNC/Machining, Industrial Maintenance Technician, BAS, HVAC etc.). Students who enter the programs do not need a high school diploma and the course fees are often entirely or partially covered by grants, scholarships and other funding sources. JCC Career Services will also support these students in their efforts to find a job. At the end of several programs, a workshop is held that leads students through resume building and interview skills. Workforce Development invites local manufacturing companies to interview students on campus at the end of some of the programs (welding, machining and industrial maintenance). Students have access to JCC Career Services for a year after the completion of their program.

Provides services to children who are 3 to 5 years old with developmental delays and/or educational needs. Eligibility is based on the results of a multi-disciplinary evaluation that is at no direct cost to the family. The local school district's Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) determines eligibility, recommends appropriate special education and/or related services and creates an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each eligible child. The New York State Education Department (NYSED) administers, through local school districts, the Preschool Special Education Programs for preschool students with disabilities, 3 to 5 years of age. The Nassau County Department of Health contracts with providers and pays for these services along with NYSED. Offers school-based and family-based approaches to preventing out-of-home placement of at-risk youth in all school districts throughout Cattaraugus County. (Families & Schools Together, Truancy Prevention, Family Group Conferencing, etc.) CPS Contract Cases: A program designed to prevent the need for future CPS involvement by engaging families who are experiencing challenges early, providing support to build family resiliency, and helping families develop neighborhood and community-based supports. Referrals are accepted from CPS county-wide. Home Visiting Program: An in-home parenting program that provides parenting skills and structure in a one-on-one setting. Program addresses safety and risk in the home and works on identifying goals within the family. Parenting Workshop: A seven-week parenting class that uses the Active Parenting model. Parenting skills are taught in classroom/group settings. Supervised Visitation: Arranged and set up such that non-custodial parents have access to their children in a safe environment. Supervised visits are utilized as a safety measure to ensure that children are safe, while also allowing parents to build relationships with their children. Parenting skills and support are provided to both the parents and the children during the visits. New Pathways to Responsible Fatherhood Initiative: The focus of the group is to promote fatherhood and the importance of being a positive male role model for children. The group is open to any male who plays a role in a child's life (Father, Step-Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Friend).
