Develops and implements environmental improvement and protection projects including erosion control, wildlife habitat improvement, drainage projects, shellfish seeding programs, woodland restoration, and public awareness programs on the need for recycling.

Serves as a social activity focal point for the beach buggy owners on Long Island. Preserves and protects the beaches of Long Island. Meetings are held the second Thursday of the month at the Robert Sweeney Education Center, Ocean Parkway, Babylon at 7pm.
