CORNELL COOPERATIVE EXTENSION (CCE) TOMPKINS COUNTY - COMMUNITY BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAM | CORNELL COOPERATIVE EXTENSION (CCE) TOMPKINS COUNTY

Funded by the Tompkins County room tax to improve landscaping and appearance of places likely to be visited by tourists. Seasonal program staff and "Beautification Brigade" volunteers plant and maintain planters on and near the Ithaca Commons and roadside gardens in high visibility areas. Also distributes funds to rural Tompkins County towns for their own beautification programs.

AIRMONT VILLAGE BUILDING DEPARTMENT | AIRMONT VILLAGE

The building department monitors new building conditions and construction, and oversees the maintenance of older multi-family structures. Also enforces the state and local building codes, housing standards and ordinances, to the review of applications for permits of new buildings, repairs, alterations, signs, and rooming houses, in addition to electrical and plumbing work. The building department accepts complaints from tenants about conditions the landlord fails to resolve.

ROCKLAND CONSERVATION AND SERVICE CORPS | ROCKLAND COUNTY YOUTH BUREAU

Rockland Conservation and Service Corps is comprised of several programs. Our Summer Conservation Corps is an outdoor service corps for people ages 18 to 25 in which individuals earn a $2,100 living stipend for 350 hours of service from June to August completing environmentally themed local service projects. Rockland Community Emergency Responders Team (RCERT) is a team of volunteers dedicated to preparing for, responding to and recovering from natural and man-made disasters in Rockland. Volunteers receive training from professionals from the Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services. The Trail Guide Program trains volunteer guides to lead people on guided walks of various difficulty levels through village, town, county and state parks throughout the region.

A "one-stop shop" system with access to City of Buffalo services, information, and non-emergency police services. Residents can dial 311 within city limits, 716-851-4890 outside the city, visit the website, or download the BUFF311 App to report service needs, check on the status of previous service requests, or obtain information regarding city programs. A report or request can be sent anonymously through the 311 applications, made via online requests or by calling the office. However, if you choose this option, you will not be able to track the progress online. For this follow-up information, you may contact the Call Center by phone. Your anonymity will always be respected. FORESTRY DEPARTMENT | CITY OF SYRACUSE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS & RECREATION

Provides a continuous program of tree planting, trimming, removal, and stump removal of City street and park trees in order to maintain a safe, healthy and abundant tree population. Topsoil and grass seed is not provided by the city.

Please note, according to city ordinance, no person shall remove any tree, trim branches, or plant any tree or shrub in a city right-of-way or public place without a written permit from the City Arborist.

To report a city tree problem such as a downed or hanging limb, dead/dying/diseased tree, or a tree trimming, removal, or planting request please call or go online.
