Rockland Conservation and Service Corps is comprised of several programs. Our Summer Conservation Corps is an outdoor service corps for people ages 18 to 25 in which individuals earn a $2,100 living stipend for 350 hours of service from June to August completing environmentally themed local service projects. Rockland Community Emergency Responders Team (RCERT) is a team of volunteers dedicated to preparing for, responding to and recovering from natural and man-made disasters in Rockland. Volunteers receive training from professionals from the Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services. The Trail Guide Program trains volunteer guides to lead people on guided walks of various difficulty levels through village, town, county and state parks throughout the region.

Topsoil and grass seed is not provided by the city. Please note, according to city ordinance, no person shall remove any tree, trim branches, or plant any tree or shrub in a city right-of-way or public place without a written permit from the City Arborist. To report a city tree problem such as a downed or hanging limb, dead/dying/diseased tree, or a tree trimming, removal, or planting request please call or go online.
