The Environmental Health Unit is responsible for inspection, oversight and review of public water supplies, both community and non-community to insure that they comply with Part 5 of the New York State Sanitary Code. Yearly inspections are conducted along with sanitary surveys, reviews of water sample submissions and operational reports. "Boil water" orders are issued when necessary.
