CancerCare provides new and gently used wigs in a variety of lengths, colors and styles. Both in-person (COVID vaccination required) and virtual appointments are offered. During an in-person, 30-minute fitting, women have the opportunity to try on different wigs. Basic wig care is discussed. Breast Prosthesis Clinic Women with breast cancer who have had a mastectomy are eligible to receive mastectomy supplies free of charge. During an individual 30-minute fitting, women can try on mastectomy bras and breast prostheses with assistance from a trained fitter. Two mastectomy bras and a breast prosthesis are provided free of charge. It is recommended that clients wait at least six weeks post-surgery to allow for proper healing.
