Program components include academics with an emphasis on functional skill development, as well as simulated work activities to apply newly acquired knowledge. Behavior management, independent living, and social skills are also addressed. Where needed, discrete trial teaching and applied behavioral analysis is utilized in conjunction with grade level curriculum. Functional assessments of behavior intervention plans are implemented for support when needed. The Secondary Developmental Program services students with various developmental disabilities. The primary goal of the program is to maximize each student's potential and to teach skills that will enable them to become as independent as possible within the confines of his/her disability. Program components include improving cognition with an emphasis on sensory motor skills development. Functional assessments of behavior and behavior intervention plans are put in place for support when needed. The 12:1:4 Program emphasizes a multi-sensory approach to learning. Emphasis is placed on improving cognition, sensory motor skills development and use of adaptive equipment to aid movement and independence. Students placed in the 12:1:4 class component are dependent upon staff for meeting their needs throughout the school day. Classroom instruction is provided with hand over hand assistance. Related services of speech, occupational therapy and physical therapy are provided on a group push-in basis. All students are assessed using the New York State Alternate Assessment. The Academic Center Middle School Program services students with learning and behavioral disabilities. The primary goal of the program is to maximize each student's potential. Program components include instruction that is comprised of the general education curriculum and which supports the Common Core State Standards. Behavior management, self-advocacy and social skills are addressed. A building-wide behavior management plan is an integral part of the program. Functional assessments and behavior intervention plans are implemented for support when needed. Programs are offered at various locations.

Hosts special annual events at the hospital for various health conditions such as stroke awareness, spinal cord injury, COPD, and others.

Provides services to infants and toddlers from birth to age 3 who have developmental delays and disabilities. Services include speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and special instruction.

Drop-in center for homeless vets. Provides linkage with VA services and assistance with finding housing. Works with homeless and at-risk veterans to help them overcome the barriers that may prevent them from receiving or benefiting from health services. Veterans have access to a shower in the Drop-in Center. Also offers outreach to homeless veterans in shelters, soup kitchens, and on the streets. Outreach workers help establish eligibility for VA medical service and pension, develop appropriate treatment plans, and screen for community placement. Homeless veterans eligible for VA Healthcare may call for availability and screening for VA funded emergency shelter, transitional housing, and HUD section 8 voucher program. Provides free primary care and osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) services to individuals 18 and older, with or without insurance, who might not be able to afford care. These services are provided regardless of the patient’s immigration or health insurance status. A cost sharing prescription plan for senior citizens who need help paying for their prescriptions. The deductions are based on yearly incomes, seniors with moderate incomes pay a low quarterly fee, and participate in the Fee Plan and seniors with higher incomes meet an annual deductible, and participate in the Deductible Plan.
