This program's aim is to reduce the transmission of AIDS/HIV and other sexually transmitted disease through the education of improved sexual health and wellness practices, specifically in gay men of color, since the rate of infection is higher in minorities. Also provides HIV/STI/HCV testing and access to health care and other needed services.

Partner Services works with people to plan the best way to notify their sex and needle-sharing partners about their exposure to an STI or HIV. Partner Services is voluntary and confidential. In addition the Department of Health offers Ryan White HIV Services. The Ryan White Care Act is a federally funded grant to provide services for people living with HIV/AIDS in Nassau & Suffolk counties. Programs offered include the SISTA (Sisters Informing Sisters About Topics on AIDS) Intervention, Peer Program and Outreach, and Health Communication/Public Information (HCPI). Also provides the coordination of multi-agency case management, HIV counseling and testing along with information on related supportive services. The SISTA Intervention, comprised of five 2 hour sessions, offers opportunities to role play, discuss relevant issues and build self-esteem.
