Provides evaluations for magnifiers, reading glasses, telescopes (to see distance), assistive aids, CCTV's lighting, etc., and sun glasses to help control glare. Buffalo VA Medical Center - VA Western NY Healthcare System

Provides primary care and emergency services for veterans. Inpatient and outpatient treatment includes evaluation, treatment, medical, surgical, psychiatry, neurology and rehabilitation medicine. A full range of health screenings, health education resources, and prevention programs (weight, smoking cessation) are available. Services for women veterans include GYN services, PAP smears, mammograms, and programs for domestic violence and sexual trauma. FREE OPTOMETRY CLINIC | ITHACA HEALTH ALLIANCE

The Ithaca Lions Club and Ithaca Free Clinic have a partnership operate an optometry and optician program housed at the Ithaca Free Clinic located at 521 W. Seneca St. in Ithaca. The Ithaca Lions Eye Clinic will offer free eye care services to Ithaca and the greater Ithaca community. The clinic will operate one day each month, providing free eye care services to uninsured and underinsured community members. For uninsured and underinsured community members interested in scheduling a free eye care appointment, call the Ithaca Free Clinic at 607-330-1254 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Eye exams require an appointment, and exams will be scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Being a resident of Tompkins County is not required to use the free eye care services offered by the Ithaca Lions Eye Clinic.

Low Vision Clinic - Orchard Park - VIA

Provides the services of a Certified Low Vision Optometrist for individuals with decreasing vision. A low vision evaluation differs from the routine eye exam provided by an ophthalmologist in that it works with patients to maximize their remaining functional vision through the use of optical devices. This may include special lenses, magnifiers, telescopes, lighting, and/or glare reduction. When an individual is experiencing difficulty with tasks or things they enjoy doing, due to vision loss, a low vision evaluation may be beneficial.
